Welcome
The mission of the Construction Specifications Institute is to advance construction technology through communication, education, research, and service. What this means to you is different from what it might mean to anyone else in the chapter. We all have our own reasons for joining CSI.
I regard as the key phrase, advance technology through communication. It is, to this end, that our chapter is taking the essential first step to develop the first ever virtual product show. Being a product representative, I am always, as with all product representatives, considering new ways to get our product in the specifications. It seems time is our worst nemesis. Time with all of us is crucial, regardless if you are an architect, engineer, contractor, supplier, or product representative.
The logic that your chapter had for a virtual product show is two-fold. First, to give all the people who attend the show greater amount of time to review all the products that they had an interest in and to attract the people who would like to come but do not have the time. Instead of a few hours, this show will last a year. The advantage, it can be reviewed at any time in their office or even at night. Creating greater value for the show.
The second, was to give the suppliers and product representatives great exposure in the marketplace, while maximizing their time and getting their product considered by a greater audience. This does not mean they will lose the face-to-face meeting, it just means that when you are contacted by clients you will know they have a real need or question about your product or services.
Communication is a vital facet of our lives. We are all trying to express our thoughts and recommendation to someone else. We are in a time, when, how we work is changing and evolving to a new level. This is just a diverse way to communicate ideas and services. The Internet use to be for people just cruising through cyberspace. In an article, about the Internet several weeks ago, The Wall Street Journal stated that it is now where business is being accomplished and is growing in popularity.
Thank you and Welcome. Let me know how this website can help your business.
